I’m Shady – born in Morocco, based in Berlin, and have been working as a bike mechanic for a while now across some of the city’s best shops. I specialize in building and repairing high-end bicycles (as can be seen in the photos on the website and much more).

The idea behind Extinct Cycles comes from something I grew up watching back home: craftsmen who had taken their trade so seriously it became their identity. The kind of care and precision that comes not from obligation but from not wanting to get it wrong. That standard is rare and going extinct in this industry. Hence the name. I hope you get to experience that firsthand with me.

I spent some time studying mechanical engineering before going all in on bikes - and that background shows in how I approach every build or repair. Every job receives the same attention and precision, whether it's a quick fix or a complete custom build/rebuild.

The workshop is by appointment only. No e-bikes, no upselling, no brand agenda. Honest and very precise work on the best machines ever. Just get in touch and experience it yourself (a glass of authentic Moroccan tea included with every project/visit).
